Jakarta, Hilton News –
The Indonesian Defense University (Unhan) made a new history by graduating the first 75 military doctors in Indonesia at the graduation ceremony held in Sentul, Bogor, Monday (12/2). This historic moment was greeted with pride by the Minister of Defense (Menhan), Prabowo Subianto.
“Why I say this is historic, because for the first time Unhan produced 75 military medical graduates,” he said in a written statement on Monday (12/2).
He added that the graduation of military doctors is an important step in efforts to overcome the shortage of health workers in Indonesia.
Prabowo stressed that Indonesia still needs 140,000 doctors to achieve health standards worthy of a modern country recognized by the United Nations (UN).
“Our current capacity is only 75 doctors. Even though our country needs an additional 140,000 doctors,” he said.
For information, Unhan Graduation this time was attended by 573 people, consisting of 17 doctors, 273 graduates from the Faculty of Defense Strategy, 69 from the Faculty of Defense Management, 82 from the Faculty of National Security, 57 from the Faculty of Defense Science and Technology, and 75 from S1 Faculty of Military Medicine.
