The number two presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto admitted that he was grateful for the quick count results that put him and vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka winning in the 2024 election.
Nevertheless, Prabowo appealed to all parties to remain humble and wait for an official announcement from the General Elections Commission (KPU).
“Although we are grateful, we must not be arrogant. We must not be congregational. We must not be euphoric, we still have to be humble. This victory must be a victory for all Indonesian people,” he said while monitoring the quick count at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/2).
“Brothers and sisters, we must continue to wait for the official results of the KPU. We believe that Indonesian democracy is going well,” he continued.
Then Prabowo said, together with Gibran and the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) he would embrace all forces and elements of society. According to him, this victory must also be a victory for the Indonesian people.
“Prabowo-Gibran and the entire Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), we will embrace all elements and all forces,” he said.
Prabowo was grateful and grateful for the cooperation of all parties because the election could take place peacefully and orderly.
“We are grateful that the world’s largest election is safely orderly, with no tension, chaos throughout our beloved archipelago,” Prabowo said.
For that, on behalf of Prabowo-Gibran’s national campaign team and on behalf of KIM, he thanked profusely all his staff and all levels including Bawaslu for holding elections in a smooth and successful state.
Prabowo also thanked national figures who supported him and those closest to him. He was also grateful that during the campaign he carried out with KIM was always greeted with great boisterous and enthusiasm.
Prabowo also expressed his respect for Indonesia’s 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who was willing to walk to the grand campaign in Gelora Karno (GBK).
“I was surprised when in Gelora Karno, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia walked 7 km. Walk, wonderful, amazing respect,” he concluded.
