The West Java Regional Police Ditreskrimum arrested one of the fugitive DPOs in the case of Vina and Rizky alias Eky in Cirebon. The arrested perpetrator was named Pegi Setiawan alias Perong.
“It has been arrested, in the name of Pegi Setiawan,” said Director of the West Java Police Ditreskrimum, Kombes (Pol) Surawan, Wednesday (22/5).
Surawan said Pegi was arrested on Tuesday (21/5) night. The fugitive was arrested in the Bandung area. It did not specify the location of Pegi’s arrest.
“Arrested in Bandung,” he said.
Police are still pursuing two other perpetrators, namely Andi and Dani. Pegi has been on the run for eight years, following the case in 2016.
In this case, there are eight suspects serving time in prison. Those who have been tried include Jaya, Supriyanto, Eka Sandi, Hadi Saputra, Eko Ramadhani, Sudirman, Rivaldi Aditya Wardana and Saka Tatal.
Seven people were sentenced to life imprisonment each, while one minor was sentenced to eight months imprisonment
